A few days ago, the Shaoxing Elevator Industry Association officially signed a contract with three insurance companies to promote elevator liability insurance in the entire industry. Shaoxing has also become the first city in Zhejiang Province where the entire elevator industry is involved in insurance.

     At present, there are more than 22,000 elevators in Shaoxing, which are growing rapidly at a rate of over 12% per year. In order to ensure the safe operation of elevators, the Shaoxing Municipal Bureau takes the promotion of elevator liability insurance as a beneficial attempt to realize social co-governance of special equipment. At the beginning of promoting the establishment of the elevator industry association, the establishment of elevator liability insurance was regarded as a key task, and the company participated in the negotiation of the insurance agreement throughout the process. After more than half a year of negotiation, the elevator liability insurance agreement was finally signed. In the next step, on the basis of further improving the insurance content, the Shaoxing Municipal Bureau will explore the introduction of the insurance industry and other third parties to supervise the quality and safety of elevators, so as to promote the operation of elevators in the city.
